COLOURLOCK 30ml Clean, Prep & Seal Kit

Important: Always test each product on an inconspicuous area first to check for any changes in colour or appearance.

1. Clean

Clean the leather thoroughly before carrying out any colour repair.

Apply a small amount of COLOURLOCK Mild Leather Cleaner to the supplied sponge and gently work it into the surface to remove everyday dirt and contamination. Remove any remaining residue with a clean, slightly damp cloth.

Allow the leather to dry completely before continuing.

2. Prepare

If the leather is oily, greasy or has previously been treated with care products, clean the affected area with COLOURLOCK Degreaser before applying Leather Fresh.

Lightly sand any rough, worn or uneven areas with the supplied Leather Sanding Pad to create a smooth, even surface.

Remove any sanding residue before continuing.

3. Apply Leather Fresh Dye

COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh Dye is sold separately and should only be applied to areas showing colour loss, scratches, abrasions or fading.

Apply a small amount of Leather Fresh evenly with a sponge, working from seam to seam where possible.

Allow each coat to dry before applying additional layers. Several thin coats will generally provide a more even result than one heavy application.

4. Seal and Protect

Once the Leather Fresh has fully dried, preferably the following day, apply COLOURLOCK Leather Shield with a soft cloth.

Spread a thin, even layer over the treated area and allow it to dry naturally. No buffing is required.

Leather Shield helps protect the restored surface against abrasion, general wear and dye transfer from clothing.

5. Optional Conditioning

COLOURLOCK Elephant Leather Preserver can be used on older leather that requires additional conditioning and protection.

Apply sparingly with a soft cloth and work a very thin layer into the surface.

Do not apply Elephant Leather Preserver before recolouring, as its conditioning oils can interfere with surface preparation and adhesion.
