COLOURLOCK Leather Dye, also known as Leather Fresh, revitalizes the leather's original colour in the event of scratches, abrasions or slight fading (commonly found in car seat side bolsters and furniture seats). The colour can be prepared according to our colour chart or a leather sample.

Ideal for repairing scratches, abrasions or slight fading on leather sofas or leather car seats. 

Firstly, clean the leather thoroughly before refreshing the colour or applying care products. Use COLOURLOCK Mild Leather Cleaner against normal degrees of soiling or COLOURLOCK Strong Leather Cleaner in extreme cases. Cleaning prior to the treatment prevents dirt sticking to the leather's surface when applying colour or care products. Our COLOURLOCK Leather Cleaning Brush effectively removes ingrained dirt. After cleaning or, in the case of recently treated or oily leather, you should de-grease it in advance using COLOURLOCK Leather Cleaning Spirit, also available in our shop.

For surface care, we recommend our COLOURLOCK Leather Protector. It contains antioxidants, which stops the leather's decay, and its UV filters protect the surfaces of old and valuable leathers from bleaching. Also the surface regains it suppleness.

COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh (Leather dye)

After pre-cleaning with COLOURLOCK Strong Leather Cleaner (which has a slight re-greasing property) or, in case of oily spots, de-grease the leather with COLOURLOCK Leather Cleaning Spirit.

Apply the colour when the cleaner has dried, usually after 1 to 3 hours.

Use a sponge to apply the colour evenly, working from seam to seam. Dry afterwards with a hair dryer. On small spots, a simple application is sufficient. Only treat surfaces where the colour has changed. If high opacity is desired, apply the colour in several layers and dry between layers with a hair dryer.
