COLOURLOCK Aniline Cream (Conditioner)

Sale price$69.99 AUD

Application

For brand-new, highly absorbent and delicate aniline leather, such as a new aniline sofa or other untreated aniline surface, we recommend carrying out this protective treatment before regular use.

First, apply two light and even coats of COLOURLOCK Waterproofing for Nubuck and Textile, allowing the leather to dry between applications. Once dry, apply COLOURLOCK Aniline Cream to condition and further protect the leather.

This initial treatment provides maximum protection against moisture and staining while helping to preserve the natural appearance and feel of the leather.

Caution! Even with this double protection, aniline leather will not become impervious to wear and tear! The best protection for aniline leather is and remains careful handling.

  • First, clean the leather with COLOURLOCK Aniline & Nubuck Cleaner
  • Apply some cleaner to a sponge and clean evenly from seam to seam without rubbing too hard.
  • The entire surface must be evenly moistened.
  • Then let it dry at room temperature (do not use a hairdryer).
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth to apply the Aniline Cream evenly in a circular motion from seam to seam to avoid stains or streaks.
  • Allow to soak in briefly (approx. 10 min.) and repeat if necessary.
  • For initial treatment in areas of high stress, multiple treatments are recommended for prevention.
  • After application, gently warm the surface with a hairdryer.

Strained surfaces should be treated at least every three months. Clean the leather carefully with COLOURLOCK Aniline Cleaner before each treatment.

When should I use the COLOURLOCK Aniline & Nubuck Cleaner?

As aniline leathers are open-pored, you need to work carefully. Cleaning is generally less problematic on very dark-coloured aniline leather and on leather that has been sufficiently waterproofed to prevent liquids from immediately penetrating the surface. Extra care should be taken with light-coloured and highly absorbent, open-pored aniline leather. Therefore, always test the application on an inconspicuous area first.

Apply a small amount of cleaner (not too wet!) to a sponge/cloth and clean carefully. Always work from seam to seam and allow the cleaner to dry completely. Do not rub or scrub for too long on stains that have soaked in. This can permanently alter the surface of the leather and lead to further staining. Work with extra care on light-coloured and very porous leathers.

If in doubt, please contact us here for advice before making the problem worse.

I’ve used Colourlock repair dyes to breathe new life into the tired leather of a couple of Boxster interiors, and the results have been better than I hoped for both times. Much cheaper than a re-upholster, and achieves a very similar effect for a fraction of the cost. Highly recommended

Very happy customer. Difficult colour matched perfectly with great results, very helpful service, great product and communication. Thank you.

The guys provided top service, and I really appreciate the time they took to run me through the aftercare process and show me the kind of products I should be using in the future. Love your work, guys!
