Nubuck and suede are sanded or split leathers with a velvet-like surface. They are porous, which makes them sensitive against soiling which adheres easily to the smooth surface. The most straightforward way of cleaning is by sanding, rubbing and brushing.

• Use the COLOURLOCK Leather Cleaning Brush for the removal of loose dirt.

• The COLOURLOCK Nubuck Sponge is the best choice in case of very slight soiling on sensitive nubuck or suede. It is suitable for an especially gentle procedure as it attacks the surface the least, in a positive as well as a negative sense.

• For sanding larger greasy and spotty areas, the COLOURLOCK Leather Sanding Pad is the tool of preference.

• The COLOURLOCK Sanding Pad 4000 is situated between the Sanding Pad and the Nubuck Sponge. It is apt for large areas where a strong grain such as the Sanding Pad's would be too intense.

• In order to remove crusty stains, we recommend the COLOURLOCK Nubuck Eraser.

• Fresh greasy stains are best removed using the COLOURLOCK Grease Absorber Spray.

• Clean nubuck or suede clothing items with COLOURLOCK Leather and Fur Wash Concentrate.

Once having gone too far with nubuck or suede, the surface structure might be changed or lightened in colour irreversibly. Therefore, caution and thoughtful handling are very important.

After cleaning, treat your leather with COLOURLOCK Waterproofing Spray for protection.
